However, Alcatel-Lucent has a solution for that problem. The project was inspired by Russian/ Art Deco style art of the 20th century. Some of the difficulties was trying to get the right tone with the color treatment as well as the style of some of the background and props. The time frame was a month to design and animate. The project was produced at idearocketanimation. It took about a year to produce. My biggest challenge was to try and integrate 3D CG with traditionally drawn animation. I had developped a technique to render out in toon shading (becasue at the time Maya did not offr a toon shader!) Some of my influences were "The Iron Giant" and Disney's "Atlantis".
